A beautiful, Mother's Day gift. Heart Shaped Pink Glass Earrings carved from fused dichroic glass and sterling silver.
Changing colour as the wearer moves, each pair of these handmade stud earrings is one of a kind - just like the lady who'll wear them.
I begin these earrings by layering dichroic art glass with paints, crushed powder and shards. When fired, this becomes a smooth piece for carving into the heart shape. Once I've scultped a matching pair, they're fire polished in the kiln which creates a smooth seamless finish. After the second firing, they're ready to be washed, fixed to sterling silver scrollback earring studs and placed in a presentation box for gifting.
These earrings are more of a colour palette than a colour. As you turn, the hues change from pink to gold and green.
