A beautiful housewarming print featuring a quote from William Morris placed on a vintage dictionary page and framed in a lightweight block frame.
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
A wonderful quote to give as a gift or to put up in your own home. The text is printed onto the old dictionary page using my hand drawn font, and is framed in a black wooden block frame handmade by my family's business. Your print will come giftwrapped in an old road map.
The page is taken from an old medium school dictionary and measures approx 14cm x 20cm (approx 5.5 inches x 8 inches). An original page is used each time, making each piece unique to you. The dimensions of these dictionaries can vary by a few centimeters sometimes, as getting hold of consistent sizes is quite difficult! Please let me know if you need the exact dimensions of the print you will receive.
You can choose to have your book page print(s) completely unframed. Please note the pages are delicate, small, and are not standard frame sizes so if you are going to frame them yourself you will most likely need to have a custom mount/mat made.
The black wooden block frames are handmade in Northamptonshire using wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. They stand up by themselves or hang flush to the wall, and look great on a bookshelf. The frames are lightweight and contain no glass so you can feel the lovely old page. I hunt down the books in local charity shops and second hand book dealers.
14cm x 20cm (approx 5.5 inches x 8 inches)
There is approx 0.3cm of black frame showing around the page, and the frame is 3cm deep. The dimensions of this design can vary very slightly depending on the dictionary I am using at the time.
