WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Surf on concrete waves. This really is surfing on land, replacing the swell with a more predictable surface, without losing any of the thrill.
Skateboards are great for performing tricks but a surfskate has a different motion. Expect a smooth ride, and a unique feel due to the technicalities of the board. It really does replicate the experience of surfing a wave in the ocean.
If you are already a surfer or snowboarder this is a great experience for honing your existing skills. If you’ve a total newbie then get ready to learn how to surf the streets.
Each session begins with a gentle warm up, and tips for getting on and off a Surfskate safely, both moving and stationary. You will then begin to learn some turns and carving - usually people are enjoying the flow within 10-15 minutes. The sessions are full of activities to help you make the most of your new skills,it is also a fantastic way to exercise.
All the equipment needed will be provided, including the safety gear. The concrete wave coaches ensure you feel confident and safe throughout the lesson,and as there are only eight people per class you are ensured lots of personal attention.
These lessons are for women only and are perfect if you are a complete beginner.
