A unique pair of cufflinks made out of pottery shards that were found on the banks of the Thames in London.
These unusual cufflinks feature pottery shards with images of people who I belive are Victorians, that were found on the banks of the Thames in London.
Each piece of patterened pottery was cleaned and set into specially made fine silver frames. The findings are sterling silver.
The cufflinks have a shiny polished finish.
There will only ever be one pair of cufflinks exactly like these, and you or your loved one will be wearing a little piece of history!
The pottery shards in these cufflinks were found while 'mudlarking' on the banks of the Thames in London. Each piece of pottery is unique, with a story to tell.
Many of the pieces have been rolling around the river bed for at least 100-200 years. Some are even older. I will give the approximate date where possible.
I select the shards carefully, but please note that because of their age, some of the pieces have surface imperfections. I believe this is part of their charm!
All the metalwork is fine (pure) and sterling silver.
Cufflinks are 1.5 cm in diameter
Depth is 5 mm
