Iconic WW2 Lancaster Cufflinks. Made from salvaged fuselage relics. Deep set in Sterling Silver. Epitomises the courage of Lancaster Crews in WW2. Provenance included.
A perfect momento.
The Avro Lancaster is the most famous and successful RAF heavy bomber of World War Two. It is a legend that lives on today and the contribution made by the aircraft and its crews to the freedom of our nation will, hopefully, never be forgotten.
On average the Lancaster could only be expected to remain in combat for 3 weeks over the skies of Europe, before being shot down.
Remains of Lancaster Bomber ND906, crashed near Ashby St. Ledgers, near Daventry on 05.05.44 .
The aircraft was dug up in 1986.
It carried a crew of seven and consisted of…Pilot, Flight Engineer, Navigator, Bomb Aimer, Wireless Operator, and Two Gunners.
Made from the relic of an Avro Lancaster Bomber. Deep set in a rectangle of Sterling Silver. The metal has been left in it's original condition so there will still be evidence of imperfections and undulating profiles.
