Grow Your Own Cottage Garden Flower Seeds

These seeds have been chosen because they are loved by bees! They make an Ideal gardening gift for Teachers, Mothers Day, Father's Day, birthdays or a simple 'thank you gift' for someone special.

Each seed gift includes:

* 4 x Packets of seeds – Calendula, Cosmos, Nigella (Love in a mist) and Catmint;

* 4 x wooden plant markers;

* pencil and

* postcard with a lovely quote by Audrey Hepburn.

It is all packaged in a stylish kraft A5 size string & washer envelope which will easily fit through a UK size letter box.

Calendula - commonly known as pot marigolds and are loved by bees. Sow indoors February-April. Sow outdoors March to June or August to October (later sowings mean the flowers will bloom the following year). They grow to around 60cm tall and will flower from May to October if you dead-head them regularly.

Cosmos – another annual flower loved by butterflies and bees. This variety grows to 40cm tall and will look fabulous in the middle/front of the border. They will bloom from June to October (or first frosts) and have pretty pink and rose coloured petals.

Nigella - sow outdoors March to May in a sunny border (or pot). They will flower from May to September and are also loved by bees. The seed pods look lovely too, however, they will self seed. They grow to around 45cm tall.

Nepeta - commonly known as catmint or catnip. Sow indoors January to April or outdoors April to June in a sunny spot. They will flower from June to September and grow to around 70cm tall.

The seeds can be simply scattered directly into the soil to make the growing process very simple - each pack includes specific and easy to follow instructions.
