Sustainable cherry wood earrings printed with a watercolour illustration of an Octopus, mounted on silver ear wires.
Eledone Cirrhosa (n) - the curled octopus is a species of cephalod found in the northeast Atlantic
Adopt your very own pair of Octopus specimens! These earrings are inspired by antique scientific specimens and wet collections in Natural History Museums, but are one hundred percent sustainable and cruelty free. They are mounted on a replica library card that fell out of a Victorian encyclopaedia of animals while I was researching specimens.
The Cherry Wood that our designs are printed on is responsibly sourced and makes a great, lightweight material for earrings. These little octopuses make a delicate addition to any outfit and are light enough to be worn all day long. Each octopus has been hand painted in watercolour by London-based designer Maddie Chambers before being digitally printed in the UK onto responsibly sourced laser cut Cherry Wood. The earrings are hand-assembled by Maddie in her London studio using Sterling Silver findings and attached to a backing card.
