Large sized mug in earthy teracotta colour with whimsical squiggle decoration. Made by an acclaimed Japanese studio potter. Perfect for your everyday cuppa.
These extra large mugs are unglazed outside, but the inside of the cup is glazed.
Now only design "B" is available.
Fired in high temperature, with a firing technique called Yakishime.
Yakishime looks similar with terracotta, but the clay is much finer and more durable. The consistency is very hard with a sandy dry surface texture.
Each piece is one-off, and is hand decorated with white slip in squiggly patterns.
They would feel generously large in your hand, and also quite light fort heir size.
Hold 400 ml.
