An intricately illustrated full moon surrounded by a variety of striking British moth species, fine art print .
I coloured it with the intention to give it a little vintage quality, with a warm yellow/beige hue, giving this print a very romantic feel, perfect for any home.
Variations
A labour of love went into drawing the detail of this print. I used a very fine line pen, to capture the lunar, rocky landscape and craters; what amazed me whilst drawing, was that every mark had a story to be told. Whether it was the strike of an asteroid or a shadow cast by its orbit. The moon is a magical thing! I imagined moths gathering towards the moonlight in this imaginative piece- a reminder for us all to keep chasing the light in all the darkness.
