Description

Our distinctive placemats are skillfully hand-spun and crafted from jute – an eco-sustainable natural plant fibre grown in India.

Embodying lots of rustic charm and Danish-inspired 'hygge' these mats would make a great contemporary rustic gift for yourself or others.

The off-white woven fibres are spun and configured in fish-shaped like forms. The edges are enhanced with silver-coloured decoration and three black lines form an iconic symbol.

These mats come in a set of four.

Made from

100% jute. These jute placemats are ethically sourced and handcrafted from Northern India. Jute production has been active in India since the 16th century. Back these local villagers would use jute for clothes, floor matting and rope production.
