FITTINGS:
Our lampshades are made using industry standard lampshade ring sets, suitable for use on all UK and EU standard lamps and flex and fitting sets. We provide a reducing ring in the central ring fitting allowing you to convert the lampshade from an 39mm / ES27 fitting (EU) to a 29mm / Smaller Bayonet Fitting (UK).
Our lampshades will not fit on a lamp with an American style harp or a lamp which requires a lampshade carrier. These can be ordered on request so please do not hesitate to get in touch with your requirements.
The bulb holder component in the centre of the lampshade sits 4cm up from the bottom of a lampshade for a lamp, or 4cm down from the top of a ceiling pendant lampshade. If you have an arc floor lamp you will need to order your lampshade for a ceiling pendant meaning the fittings will be at the top of the lampshade.
METALLIC SHADES:
Three layers of materials are used to make our Gold and Copper lined shades; the foil lining, the pvc, then your chosen fabric or wallpaper. This allows the colour on the outside of the shade to stay rich and opaque.No light can permeate through the sides of the shade, meaning the light is directional and will reflect off the metallic lining giving a wonderfully warm glow from the top and bottom of the shade.
