A unique contemporary painting of your favourite song
Camilla Lee has developed a way of visualising music. By relating sound to colours, known as chromesthesia, Camilla builds a colour palette from acrylic lacquer and watercolour.
Whilst your chosen song is playing, colours are picked out from the music while the brushstrokes are directed by the rhythm and accents in the music.
Each painting is entirely unique, with the name and artist of the song handwritten at the edge of the painting.
This makes the paintings a wonderful gift - they can be of a favourite song, or perhaps the music playing when a couple first met, a dance shared at their wedding, a song that soothed a baby or even perhaps a badly sung kareoke song that has gone down in history!
The song choice is essential to the style of the piece; the music determines the colour palette and boldness of the lines. Please enquire via the 'ask the seller a question' button for information on how your song choice may look.
The paintings are all framed in a black box frame. The black allows the colours in the artwork to really stand out.
If there are any particular colours that you relate to the song, or would like me to work in, please state in the options section.
