This long Peruvian Opal and mixed stone necklace is a true luxe piece that can be worn so many ways - alone, layered or wrapped.
Choc full of utterly gorgeous gems in shades of the land and sea. Featuring gorgeous Peruvian Opal stone beads, the most beautiful Amazonite nuggets I've ever discovered, earthy Chrysocolla, luminescent mint green Chrysoprase and textured lava stone. These are paired with exquisite glass beads - some handmade, some vintage, some recycled, and finished with a fabulous Ethiopian tribal amulet believed to bring luck to it's wearer.
This style of long beaded necklace takes many hours to make. I tend to start by quietly sitting in my studio, surveying my collection of raw materials surrounding me. I love to let my imagination wander and pick out little colour stories that weave from one material to another. Colors that speak of the forest, maybe, in deep, verdant tones, or perhaps exotic tales of birds and their fanciful feathers - iridescent and exquisite. Each piece tells it's own story, somehow.
Variations
This long wrap necklace is approximately 102cm ( 40 inches) long, affording you the option to wear it long, or strung twice around your neck - you can wrap it around your wrist, your ankle, your waist, or hey, wear one in your hair! They're also perfect for layering with other necklaces, so you can perk up a tired outfit or old pieces of jewellery and give them a great new look.

Strung on top-grade jeweller's soft flex 49 strand beading wire. No clasp neccessary - simply slip on over your head.
I carefully choose and select all of my materials to ensure great quality and beauty, and each piece of jewellery is handmade with much love, care and attention to detail. I want you to enjoy wearing this necklace for a long, long time!
