Variations
The ceramic process takes about 3 weeks. the process includes wedging (kneading to remove air bubbles), I then pinch the stoneware clay in my hand to form a small bowl shaped allow to dry (about a week sometimes more), the bowl then recieves its bisque firing, the glaze design is made by hand painting and then its popped back into the kiln for a glaze firing (1225 degrees celsius) for its glaze firing. The kiln does its magic, its always so exciting to have a kiln reveal and see the finish piece, there is always an element of surprise as each and everyone will differ in finish.
Are products are imperfectly perfect and not for someone who is seeking perfection.
