This Curlew is handmade in copper and kiln-fired enamel.
The Curlew is the perfect present for a bird-lover (or for yourself!!), whether for Christmas, birthday, house warming or any occasion.
This bird wall hanging is one of my bestsllers and is handmade from 1.2mm sheet copper, then kiln enamelled. I used l a bright pink enamel on the feet combined with purple glass. The legs are polished.
The Curlew is about 11 inches in height.
The box frame is double-mounted with glass at the front (no glass in this photo to stop reflections).
Variations
There can be lots of variations in colour with kiln-fired enamels. Please contact me if there are specific colours you like. This one is also very popular in lilace and rose.
With all my enamel pieces the colour can change somewhat from what you see here; sometimes the colours are more affected by the copper oxides than others (particularly transparent blues and opaque whites), but this variation in colour and the resulting texture it creates is one of the things that makes every piece unique.
