All the leather is sourced from Italian tanneries who tan cow hides as a by product of the European meat industry. There is a choice of gorgeous bright premium smooth Italian leather as well as more muted grainy vegetable tanned leather. All the metal hardware is made from solid brass. The thread is a high quality Italian leatherworkers thread made from recycled nylon. Beautiful plastic free packaging.
