Orion or The Hunter and Orion's belt is probably one of the most recognised constellations in the night sky. Displayed within a light box the illuminated Orion print is made from one of my original woodblock prints. Looking equally beautiful unlit this would make a very special gift for astronomy lovers.
When lit the light box emits a soft cosy glow and because of the energy efficient LED's works very well as a night light. The print would be well placed on a side table or shelf in a bedroom or living area.

The light box has a choice of black or white frame and is mains powered, the cord length approx 1m 45cm.

Made from
Each print has been hand pulled from a ply woodblock, using midnight blue ink with additional gold dust to create the starry sky. The circular stars of Orion have been hand cut out so the energy efficient soft glow of the LED lights shine through the night sky.
The optional handtyped text of the constellation name is done using an old Imperial 66 typewriter which gives the print an elegant aged old world feel in its style. Due to the age of the typewriter some of the typed characters do not line up exactly adding to the charm and vintage aged feel of the print.
