For yourself or as a gift, the Lorelle Jumper Knitting Kit is packaged with yarn, pattern and put in a gift bag together with Care Instructions; a biography card of Lorelle the alpaca and it's packaged together in a clear resealable bag for garment storage.
At Purl Alpaca Designs our products are sustainable, ethical and organic. Our yarn is made from the best quality fibre, hand prepared and spun in the UK. No dye is used and environmentally aware, our packaging is made from recycled materials.
Variations
Ophelia is extremely versatile to wear - with sleeves, as a tunic, as a wrap, cloak, scarf or belted dress, and she weighs only 300g - 400g.
Using our comprehensive instructions and fabulous 100% pure, home grown alpaca yarn, Ophelia will be a joy to make. Knitted in one piece, from the bottom up, the neck stitches are held on a holder and finished after the main body has been made. This means there are no seams, but the addition of 6 buttons creates the different looks.
Stitch patterns: knit, purl, yarn over, k2tog, Skpo (slip 1, k1, pass the slipped st over) and cabling.
Two sizes available from X-Small to XX-Large
Knitted on 5mm circular needles, 80cm cable
There are 9 natural colour options to choose from and all are made with 100% pure British Alpaca fibre (from our own herd).
Available sizes are:
X-Small to Medium: UK sizes 4-14, to fit approx 71cm - 100cm/28" - 39" bust (3 skeins of yarn)
Large to XX-Large: UK sizes 16-26, to fit approx 101cm - 132/40" - 52" bust (4 skeins of yarn)
This kit's contents are:
1 x Ophelia Cable and Lace Top Knitting Pattern,
3 or 4 100g skeins of yarn (depending on size)
1 x Postcard of one of Tracy's alpacas (picture on one side and her story on the other)
1 x Care Instructions
1 x Recycled Kraft gift bag with blue ribbon and rope handles.

Dimensions
Packed together in a clear plastic, resealable bag (useful for final garment storage) and posted in a blue mail bag (40cm x 28cm); the weight will depend on the size ordered as this has an incremental effect. Final posting weight ranges between 350g and 450g.

Alpaca is a fibre that works really well in keeping you warm; looked after, our garments last for years. As a natural fibre, it rarely needs washing as it repels dirt and doesn’t hold smells. Should you wish to freshen it up, we recommend hand washing in lukewarm water using shampoo and adding conditioner to the final rinse. We also provide Care Instructions which gives extra tips on how to look after your Purl Alpaca Design.
