For yourself or as a gift, the Lorelle Jumper Knitting Kit is packaged with yarn, pattern and put in a gift bag together with Care Instructions; a biography card of Lorelle the alpaca and it's packaged together in a clear resealable bag for garment storage.
At Purl Alpaca Designs our products are sustainable, ethical and organic. Our yarn is made from the best quality fibre, hand prepared and spun in the UK. No dye is used and environmentally aware, our packaging is made from recycled materials.
Variations
Using our comprehensive instructions and fabulous 100% pure, British alpaca yarn, Lorelle will be a joy to make. Lorelle is knitted from the bottom up; the body and sleeve are joined through the shaping of the yoke. The distinctive zig zag detail from the hem and sleeves is picked up again at the yoke and creates a polished, professional look that you will be proud to wear.
Stitch patterns: knit, purl, stocking stitch, short row shaping with wrap & turn (WT) and cabling.
Five sizes available from X-Small to X-Large
Knitted on 5mm circular needles, 80cm cable
There are 9 natural colour options to choose from and all are made with 100% pure British Alpaca fibre (from our own herd).
Available sizes are:
X-Small: UK sizes 4-6, to fit approx 73cm/29″ bust (3 skeins of yarn)
Small: UK sizes 8-10, to fit approx 83cm/33″ bust (3 skeins of yarn)
Medium: UK sizes 12-14, to fit approx 93cm/37″ bust (3 skeins of yarn)
Large: UK sizes 16-18, to fit approx 102cm/40″ bust (4 skeins of yarn)
X-Large: UK sizes 20-22, to fit approx 112cm/44″ bust (4 skeins of yarn)
This kit's contents are:
1 x Lorelle Jumper Pattern,
3 or 4 100g skeins of yarn (depending on size)
1 x Postcard of Lorelle the alpaca (picture on one side and her story on the other)
1 x Care Instructions
1 x Recycled Kraft gift bag with blue ribbon and rope handles.

Dimensions
Packed together in a clear plastic, resealable bag (useful for final garment storage) and posted in a blue mail bag (40cm x 28cm); the weight will depend on the size ordered as this has an incremental effect. Final posting weight ranges between 350g and 450g.
Made from
Alpaca is a fibre that works really well in keeping you warm; looked after, our garments last for years. As a natural fibre, it rarely needs washing as it repels dirt and doesn’t hold smells. Should you wish to freshen it up, we recommend hand washing in lukewarm water using shampoo and adding conditioner to the final rinse. We also provide Care Instructions which gives extra tips on how to look after your Purl Alpaca Design.
