Tying the knot is an ancient Celtic tradition which symbolises love and commitment and this is now known as a Handfasting Ceremony. We at Olive Lane would love to make your special handfasting cord from your choice of our ribbons, cords and charms.
Each of our handfasting cords are made with 2 lengths of frayed chiffon ribbon, 1 length of satin ribbon, 1 length of green coloured cord and a platted strand of fine cord which has 6 gold or silver charms attached. These are platted together by hand and if requested, we can add personalisation to one of the chiffon strands.
You have a choice of over 30 ribbon colours and if personalisation is added the writing can be in either silver or gold to match the charms, This means that each hand fasting cord we make is unique. After the wedding day the cord can be kept as a lovely memento of the day.
All orders can be customised so if you would like to add more ribbon lengths or charms please do not hesitate to ask. We are able to take photos to show you how your color choices will look together before any cord is made.
