Motherlylove was founded by experienced midwife and nurse with a degree in Complementary Therapy (aromatherapy route), Jan Bastard BSc. (Hons), RN, RM, IAIM. Jan’s published paper in “The Journal of Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice” is still in the top 10 most read papers 10 years after publication.

Jan personally manages the product development, using her own research and experiences as a midwife.

Motherlylove products include a combination of carefully chosen powerful carrier (vegetable) oils, which soften the skin and help maintain its natural elasticity. All our products are Vegan Friendly.

Our range includes a selection of blends for specific uses to support health and wellbeing, addressing many common needs during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatally.

We have also designed many of our oils to contain minute quantities of essential oils, which can balance the whole person and safe for both mum and baby.

Pregnant women have very sensitive noses and our fragrances have also been created with this in mind. This is one of the reasons they are so well received by pregnant women.
