These antique hand carved 'idli moulds' from Southern India make wonderful serving dishes for nuts and nibbles.

Traditionally used for grinding spices on the Indian Subcontinent, these shallow stone bowls make lovely centrepieces for all manner of items from fruits, nuts and spices to soaps and shells.

Originally used for making the delicious breakfast staple, the 'idli' (a savory steamed cake) these heavy stone platters make an original serving dish and are also a lovely way to display treasures. Each is totally unique, not only due to its hand made nature but also due to the natural markings of this exquisite material.
