These cosy, bright ladies knitted fingerless mittens are handcrafted from pure British spun Lambswool in my studio; the perfect knitted valentines gift for her.
I designed and created these ladies knitted lambswool wristwarmers using my heart pattern. The contemporary heart and geometric triangle design was created on knitting punchcard paper which I hand punched.
The double jersey fabric is knitted on one of my vintage domestic knitting machines, hand manipulating the stitches at the edge. The heart fabric is then hand stitched together to form the wristwarmers, then washed and laid out to dry naturally. The 100% premium quality British spun Lambswool yarn is amazingly soft and warm and at the same time light.
There are no computers in my production process - from the design, the knitting to the packaging, the whole process is done manually and with meticulous attention to detail.
Double jersey fabric is thick therefore very warm, and the wristwarmers are created with a patterned outside and a plain inside. The premium quality lambswool yarn is luxuriously soft and warm, keeping your hands toasty in the winter months and spring. The mitts enable your fingers to stay free for driving, pushing a pram, using your phone or holding hands.
The mitts are gift wrapped in tissue with twine and a Little Knitted Stars tag so are a ready made present. The would make the perfect gift for her or just treat yourself to fabulously warm hands!
