I trained in Textile Design and for many years ran a print design studio in London. When I took a break from the commercial sector to have my children, I continued to pactise as an artist through printmaking, developing skills in etching and lino cut.
My love of design and textiles has never disappeared, and I have begun combining these techniques by hand printing my own designs onto paper and fabric using the block print method.
This is a very traditional method. Each design is individually cut into a piece of lino, ink is applied and the design is then hand pressed into the cloth or paper.
A lot of my designs translate in to other product areas such as kitchen home ware, placemats ,coasters and tea towels.
I also produce an extensive and ever expanding greetings card range based on a lot of my lino cuts and mixed media designs.
