Product description

Our Pete’s Oven Fire Pit gives more flexibility for cooking options with both an oven and BBQ Rack for BBQ-ing.

Pete’s Oven 70 fire pit includes a flat table top lid and the Swing Arm BBQ Rack. Underneath the bowl is oven space which can be used for warming if you’ve made a small fire above or for pizzas and roasting if you get a large fire burning for approx. 60 minutes in advance.

All our fire pits, chimineas and pizza ovens are manufactured in the UK from British steel. The steel will oxidise as it settles into your garden, turning an autumnal russet colour, but this does not effect the longevity or durability.

Variations

For best results for the oven, build a large fire and light at least 60/90 minutes before cooking so the heat from the fire bowl can heat your oven. Keep the door closed until the oven has reached your desired temperature. We advise removing any leftover ash from the fire pit before cooking.

The fire pit comes with a protective coating of oil which will burn off after first use. The fire pit and bbq rack are made from 3mm mild steel. They will oxidise over time and turn from graphite to an autumnal russet pantina. This does not affect their longevity or durability. All our fire pits are handmade from British sheet metal which has naturally occurring blemishes which can mean slight variations in the forging and finish.

Fire pit care: fire up your fire pit and grill to burn off the protective oil. You can remove the rust as it oxidises with a wire brush and then oiled, but the rust doesn’t affect use or durability. Avoid putting the BBQ rack over high flames as the steel will warp under high temperatures. To cook over your fire pit, you want the flames to die down and leave the cooking embers behind. Or use an ash rake to separate the embers from the flames and position your BBQ rack over the cooking embers.
