Airplant In Glass Bauble Open Terrarium

Each airplant is unique but our small glass baubles measure roughly 7cm across and the large measure approx 10cm.

Airplants care some of the easiest plants to care for.

Each box will contain;

- A small or large glass bauble

- A packet of gravel in your choice of colour

- An airplant

- If choosing a large bauble, we will include a piece of bark or stone to decorate your bauble with.

They enjoy a bright spot, hung in a window is ideal, and as they don't grow roots there is no need for soil. As the plant is placed inside glass, care should be taken not to place the item in strong, direct sun, as this could scorch the plant.

An airplant can be watered in two ways; by submerging the whole plant in water and leaving it for an hour or so, roughly weekly or by spraying with water every other day. If soaking, it's important to shake all the excess off and allow to air dry, upside down if possible, so that no water pools in the middle of the plant.

The plant will flower once it has reached maturity and then produce offsets. These offsets will grow into new plants and the parent plant will die back. This is a normal part of the life cycle of an airplant.

Your glass bauble has a flat base and could be displayed on a shelf or windowsill, or it has the means to be hung.
