Clean, fresh and contemporary porcelain collections designed and hand made in West Dorset. Having settled on the beautiful Jurassic coast I work from my cottage studio producing fine handmade porcelain. You will find platters, coaster sets and framed collections of tiles all featuring delicate drawings and vintage prints of botanical and marine images reflecting the coastal environment that inspires me.
With an interest and training in museums I am fascinated in how specimens and objects can be presented for modern interiors: from rows of rare moths to samples of ammonites I aim to produce an ethical alternative to the Victorian butterfly hunters through my porcelain collections. I combine industrial ceramic printing process with detailed designs from nature.
Working in small batch productions each product is handmade, high quality and functional: platters to serve and coasters to decorate.
With real platinum and coloured transfers each porcelain tile or disc is decorated and fired twice. These are tactile objects in themselves, and once grouped take on an intriguing aesthetic. All my materials and packaging is sourced from the UK including clay and ceramic printing from the Potteries and Stoke on Trent .
