“Dangerously Good Beer!” A carefully selected trio showcasing Cullercoats Brewery.
As a partner to the RNLI, each Cullercoats beer draws inspiration from the coastal history of the North East.
Firstly, find “Lovely Nelly”. The boat, wrecked off Whitley Sands on the stormy New Year’s Day of 1861 was successfully rescued by the Cullercoats Lifeboat. The Fisherwomen of Cullercoats pulled the lifeboat the 2 miles from Cullercoats to Whitley Bay where it could be launched safely! A superb full-bodied amber bronze session Beer. With a biscuit malt flavour, balanced with a smooth bitterness.
Next up, there’s “Rocket Brigade IPA”. A tribute to the Cullercoats volunteers who fired rockets with life saving equipment to boats in distress. A multi award winning all English, India Pale Ale. Pale, strong and bitter although deceptively easy drinking.
Finally, we have selected “Grace Darling Gold”. Often described as Victorian Britain’s greatest heroine. Accordingly, this blonde beer is refreshing, smooth and hoppy.

At Heather and Bale, we work directly with independent, artisan producers and source products that are not widely available elsewhere.
