The gift box contains three packets of seeds to sow and grow and contain sowing instructions on the reverse. All seeds are supplied by Mr Fothergill, one of the leading seed merchants in the UK.
Plants can be grown in the border, raised beds or a container garden in a sunny or part sunny garden with normal soil.
Seeds included are:
Verbena bonariensis – flowers from June to October and grows to 120cm+ and is ideal for the back of a border as it has lovely slender stems with a purple ‘bobble’ type flower. Perennial flower.
Cosmos flowers from June-October (or first frosts) and grows to around 60cm tall. Annual flower with white petals and magenta coloured margins with feathery leaves. Dead-head regularly to continue flowering.
Thyme – dogs love scented plants and this one can be used for cooking too. Add to sauces and soups for extra flavour. This low growing herb is green all year round and grows to around 30cm tall. Makes a lovely ground cover plant for the front of a border and has delicate pretty pink flowers.
