Bird pendant featuring a pottery shard that was found on the banks of the Thames in London, silver with a silver chain
A beautiful floral shard of pottery is set in a specially made frame on a hand made silver dove. It has a soft shiny finish.
The pendant comes with a delicate but sturdy sterling belcher chain.
There will only ever be one pendant like this, and you or your loved one will be wearing a little piece of history!
The pottery shard was found while 'mudlarking' on the banks of the Thames in London. Each piece of pottery is unique, with a story to tell.
Many of the pieces have been rolling around the river bed for at least 100-200 years. Some are even older. I will give the approximate date where possible.
I select the shards carefully, but please note that because of their age, some of the pieces have surface imperfections. I believe this is part of their charm!
All the metalwork is fine (pure) and sterling silver, and has been hallmarked in the London Assay Office.
The bird is 3.4 cm wide, 2.3 cm tall including hoop
The chain is sterling silver and is 46 cm long (18 inches)
