About Terra Vitum

Live wildly. Live mindfully.

Terra Vitum started from the passion of four individuals who love the Earth.

With society being so fast-paced and infinite knowledge at the end of our fingertips, life can move so very quickly and we can become out of touch with the world around us. We decided that not only does the Earth need us, but people need the Earth. From the combined knowledge of the group of friends we set out to create a world that teaches others to live hand-in-hand with Earth and not just on it.

The foraging and wild living courses that we curated are designed to help reconnect with out natural spaces and learn methods that have been lost. With Megan, our forager, Lucy, our herbalist, Tim, our life and nature scientist and Guy our eco-living expert, we share our stories, our experiences with the land, and natural practices to offer unique courses.

We aspire to teach everyone who listens how to be a steward of the land. Each of the four founding members are here to guide you in a wilder, more mindful lifestyle.

What we offer

Wild living through mindful practice

Connect deeper to the Earth by living through the seasons with Terra Vitum.

Terra Vitum offers bespoke, private and seasonal foraging, herbalism and wild living courses led by professional foragers, biologists and herbalists.

Their foraging courses range from full-day in-depth workshops and wild food banquets to short, guided foraging walks. Wander through the stunning South Downs with the expert foragers, connecting to plants and fungi that are growing seasonally, learning how they can benefit you nutritionally and medicinally.

Explore a whole new way of living and connect with ancestral practices or simply enjoy a guided foraging walk. Learn how to make wild teas, craft your own sloe and blackberry gin, and learning how to preserve and ferment wild food.

  • "Really good host, went and learnt a lot about local plants. She really knew her stuff and had a friendly and approachable vibe. At the end had a great lunch with naturally foraged food stuff. Everyone who went had a really good time, and I think it was good value for money."

  • "Had this experience booked as a present for myself and a friend and what a truly fascinating day blessed by also perfect weather! The course leader just had such an encyclopedic knowledge of plants and fungi and not only their uses (edible etc.) but also interesting folklore and history! The whole day was topped off as well with a delicious meal cooked on site using foraged ingredients to have a taste of what we've learned about throughout the course. Genuinely a must for any outdoor lover."

  • " really enjoyed the foraging course. Megan who led the course pointed out some new facts about everyday plants that grow in our area. Highlighted some simple things to use in cooking. We had a picnic made from foraged food as part of the package. It was lovely! Great day out, being seasonal I’ll book again."
