Hello..I"m Saskia! I'm a relationship and sex educator, teacher and mum of 3 girls.
I'm also the author a brand new Period Guide book and Journal, entitled This Period in My Life, a book dedicated to tackling the shame and stigma around periods.
I am passionate about shining a more positive light on periods, and reframing the conversation around menstruation for the next generation of young people. If almost half the world menstruates, we should be able to speak openly and honestly about it, and share our experiences!
The First period- something to celebrate!
Today's young people are more environmentally conscious than ever. If we can give them the right information and sound knowledge around their choice of period product, they will make better long term decisions when it comes down to their spending, the planet and their health. This is what led me to create the First Moon Box. It serves as a practical gift to mark a special occasion in a young person's journey to adulthood. As well as a a meaningful gesture that says "I'm here to talk about periods".
