Paper lines began in the wee small hours of a long summer night, in the hope of creating a unique one-off gift for my father.
As an architectural model maker, I naturally have a passion for models and miniatures. Fusing this passion along with my love for the outdoors and landscapes resulted in the creation of Paper Lines.
Using the contour lines on a map I produce three dimensional representations of the landscape. By omitting details such as buildings, trees and any use of colour the models have a abstract quality that highlights the pure form of the land.
By inviting the customer to select the location each product is unique and personal.
Every Paper Lines creation is completely hand crafted by myself at my workshop in the Scottish highlands.
