Yorkshire Based, Smoker Builder!! Creating Authentic BBQ That Travels With You!!
With a combined love of camping, travel and good BBQ food we were looking for a quality barbecue to take on weekends away in our van.
The small carry bbqs were flimsy and only really good enough for burgers…??
The disposable foil sausage burners were a bane on any campsite, regularly leaving scorched rectangles behind in the grass or being put in the bins still alight, not to mention the dangerous practice by some individuals of leaving them behind at local beauty spots to cause dangerous fires!…??
The ceramic egg types are bulky, heavy, not suitable for all weather cooking and tend to crack open when dropped accidentally out the back of the van!…??
So off into the garage I went…
A few prototypes later and out came The BeardSmoke “Mini-Un” Barbecue smoker!!!
Low n Slow (110°c ish) - Hot n Fast Direct Grilling (400°c+). Simple To Use (Full training given). Efficient (10hrs on one load of charcoal). Compact. Bulletproof. Weatherproof. Rotisserie and Hot Plate Add-Ons Available!!!
Handmade with 26 years of high level fabrication experience we aim to provide a high level of quality, attention to detail and trust in every unit built!
Starting during lockdown from my garage, I have now built to order more than 80 units for people across the UK, I have even shipped one as far as Florida!
Due to the hours involved and the nature of hand building these smokers, in quieter off-peak times building and shipping time is about a week but please note in busier “BBQ season” times I work on a queue system so it could take up to 30 days, although I do my upmost to work late into the night to hit deliveries asap!
Full training is given in the use of a Mini-Un smoker if needed and I try to maintain a relationship with every customer through texts or calls etc, I hope to share favourite recipes, tips and the latest news on what we are up to or add-ones I’m developing next.
