Build a custom set of speakers by soldering your own amplifier and designing your own case for them out of any material you fancy!
Build your own custom amplifier out of electronic components. Then design your own set of speakers to house it.
Attach the exciter to your amplifier and explore how it turns any material into a resonating surface. Play with different sizes, shapes and materials and see how your favourite band sounds through paper to plastic.
You’ll not only learn how to solder but start to understand how circuits work and what role each component has. You’ll then explore some of the principles of sound as you test your exciter on different materials.
Design and construct a bespoke speaker to fit your needs using any material from wood to acrylic; from a cereal box to a balloon!
Electrical components, balloon. Soldering and batteries required.
