Oak and Jay

Fresh out of design school, I turned my joy of creating toward a path that I knew would also produce an income: advertising. It was only a few years before I found myself working for some of the world's largest companies, creating websites and videos for many of the brands I most admired.

I thought that design would be my lifelong career, but after a few years, I began to recognize that the companies I had believed were changing the world, were actually ethically bankrupt.

I decided to uproot my life and move to the wild edges of Ireland's southwest coast, to pursue a life more true to who I was, and Oak and Jay soon followed.

A small home wares business focused on what we can make from local, sustainable resources at affordable prices— Oak and Jay is both our passion to create and our refusal to comply. Through transparency and ecologically regenerative practices, we hope to show at least a few people that our future can be made better through small, sustainable solutions.
