Clay has been a part of my life ever since finding some in the garden of my west country home at the age of four, and has led to a career in art teaching and a lifelong fascination with this wonderful material.

Living now, in the New Forest, I am surrounded by nature and this inspires my ceramic themes. Birdlife and flora and fauna have a strong presence in my work and the elemental ceramics processes combining earth, water and fire compliment these natural themes.

I work mainly with high firing clays such as porcelain and stoneware. The refined purity and strength of porcelain makes it perfect for making small delicate pieces, and the more robust stoneware is great for rustic and homely pieces. I use the techniques of hand building and slabbing to create my designs.

I make a range of individually handcrafted decorative ceramic items for the home and the garden. Each one is unique and all are made by the hand of the artist.
