Sustainably Brewing Beers in Shropshire since 1993

Hobsons Brewery is an independent local brewery founded in the Shropshire town of Cleobury Mortimer by Nick Davis and his parents back in 1993.

With 30 years of brewing under our hat, Hobsons has grown to become a leading brewer in our region. Back in 2007 Hobsons hit National headlines winning the acclaimed CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain with our Champion Mild. Over the years our range has won multiple accolades across cask, keg and bottle categories.

We produce an excellent range of hoppy beers, pale ales, dark stout, porters and seasonal brews. All of our beers are brewed using locally grown Maris Otter Malting barley, 80% are with British hops from local hopyards and Hobsons House Yeast – a completely unique ingredient to our beers with its own flavour characteristic

Our commitment to sustainability has been recognised by SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers), with Hobsons winning SIBA Best Green Business in 2010 and again in 2021!
