About us

Doing tea properly

Good & Proper Tea are London-based, premium tea specialists. We source teas from around the world, always looking for something special that will stand up on its own without blending or flavouring, before sharing them with their customers. Having started brewing and serving tea back in 2012 from a 1974 Citroen H van, we have now grown to a flagship Tea Bar, an online store and a growing network of cafe and restaurant partners. All are driven by a determination to do tea properly.

Our Tea

What we look for: The teas we source from around the world are single origin, meaning that each of the teas come from a single geographical region, estate or garden. Unlike a blend, which might combine leaves from different origins, the flavour profile of each is therefore largely reflective of that region - the soil, the climate, the altitude or as it is known in wine, the terroir.

Delivery

Shipping

We offer three types of shipping:

STANDARD SHIPPING (3-5 working days) | £3.00

NEXT DAY DELIVERY (orders placed before 1pm Monday-Friday) | £9.00

Return conditions

In the case of any damaged goods you may return the product within 21 days of delivery. The product must be in new condition and any tea packets unopened.

Make sure to include contact information with the return and if possible, please provide us with a tracking number. Good & Proper Tea suggests you get a receipt and a package ID for the return from the delivery service, as it makes it easier to follow the return shipment if needed.

Good & Proper Tea will make a refund of eligible returns, less delivery costs. To do so we may need a bank account number to transfer the money back to. The easiest way is to e-mail it to us along with a brief description of your case.

Returning a Package

If a returned item is shipped international, please clearly mark the package 'RETURNED GOODS', to avoid any Customs charges. Good & Proper Tea is NOT responsible for any return Customs charges made. Any charges incurred are the responsibility of the customer.

Switching to Another Product Instead of a Refund

Return the product you have received and send us an e-mail telling us which product you want instead.

Transport Damage

If the product is lost or you, upon receiving, notice that the item has been damaged during transport, you should immediately report this to us.

Unclaimed Packages

For packages that are not picked up from your post office within 14 days, Good & Proper Tea reserves the right to charge you a handling fee to cover return shipping and freight companies' administrative costs.
