Hello! I’m Claire, the embroideress behind Delicious Monster Tea. I live in Cardiff and work from my little yellow home studio.
I create hand embroidered keepsake gifts - from handwritten message handkerchiefs to personalised baby cardigans and organic cotton t-shirts. Each piece is stitched by hand and made to be treasured for years to come.
Delicious Monster Tea began by accident one Sunday afternoon in 2016, when a stranger asked where I’d bought a t-shirt I’d embroidered myself. “I made it,” I said, and just like that, I had my first customer!
What started as a tiny side-hustle, grew steadily (and then very quickly after Fearne Cotton wore one of my t-shirts), allowing me to quit my office job in 2018. Since then, I’ve expanded the range to include baby clothing, handkerchiefs, and other hand embroidered keepsakes – all designed with thoughtful gifting in mind.
It's still just me behind the scenes - designing, stitching, packing orders and occasionally tweaking the code on my website! As a result, I hope that my gooey sentimentality shines through. I love hearing from customers and reading the beautiful, funny, romantic and sometimes heart-breaking stories behind your orders.
