I studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University before teaching Art in Upper Schools across Bedfordshire for 25years.

Since retiring I have become a prolific painter, creating abstract paintings from my home studio which have been exhibited both locally and nationally.

My first series of prints and paintings for sale on NOTHS have been developed from drawings and photographs of a small clearing and wood near to my home. The paintings veer from being partly representational to partly abstract. I am most interested when they are on the edge of recognition. This is usually when there is a tension when a wish to express is worked against a reluctance to reveal.
