Carolyn Tripp Ceramics

On graduating with a BA(hons) in Ceramics from the renowned Camberwell College of Arts degree course, Carolyn established herself in a studio on Peckham, South London where she has worked for the past 15 years developing her practice.

Carolyn's work is informed by her love of the natural seaside and the erosion of shells in particular .

Carolyn works in porcelain hand casting and then altering each piece making each one original. High fired and glazed on the inside some of the more open pieces are lustered creating a vibrant effect full of shine. The contrast between the smooth iridescent inside and the rougher, jagged outside is reminiscent of the shells that inspire them.

All pieces are individually made by Carolyn in her Peckham studio and are signed on the base.

Carolyn's bowls create a colourful accent in any room of the house and her vases look good whether filled with flowers or standing alone.
