Designer and creator of modern sensory toys, play mats, and nursery interiors based in London.
Hello I'm Erin, the designer and creator of all things Too Many Pjs. I worked as a textile designer in the London fashion industry for over 10 years giving me a wealth of experience in textile printing and sewing techniques. When having my first child I was disappointed with the garish colours and materials available for baby play mats and toys so I created a sensory play mat for my son with fabrics I had designed myself.
I now screen print many of the fabrics myself and the play mats evolved into toys, cushions, and interiors as well. All of the products I create utilise textural and monochrome fabrics to stimulate a baby's senses, and contribute to their cognitive and motor skill development. I also incorporate trend inspired colours and nursery themes which are intended to compliment the modern home rather than clash with it.
I use only 100% organic fabrics, sustainable materials and eco-friendly inks.
I believe in living a sustainable lifestyle and want to keep the waste and environmental damage caused by the textile industry to a minimum. I do this by using only GOTS certified organic fabrics and sustainable materials. As well all of the inks I screen print with are eco-friendly pigment inks that are also non toxic. The toys and play mats are then filled with a wadding material made from recycled plastic bottles. I aim to have a zero waste company and utilise even the smallest patches of fabric in the sensory blocks and other toys. Most importantly, I hope that your children will enjoy the products I make as much I enjoy creating them!
