On a Promise

Say Hello to Nippy Nippy your very own 'On a Promise' Horse

I’m Rick and I work for a small office fit out company. I’m joined by my wife Carmel, A full-time mum to our three kids. During the pandemic both my wife and I noticed we didn’t have a lot of alone time. We live in a dinky ex-council pebbledash house in Kent and as I’m sure some of you can relate, the house was always full with no rooms to spare with home schooling and what not.

We came up with the tongue in cheek idea to give each other a subtle nod that the kids should go to bed early (Horse subtle stance) this worked an absolute treat as the kids thought it was just another weird ornament that we added to the strange stuff we’ve collected over the years. As time went on we started to use the horse in different positions. If we were having a bad day or one of us needed some down time, this was the perfect way to subtly nod to one another that one of us needed to tap out and the other to tap in. A year later and the kids still have no idea that Nippy Nippy serves a purpose. Yay!
