Hand lettering and illustrated paper goods
Nic Farrell graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2011 with a degree in illustration. She is the winner of a D&AD Best New Blood award, and she has been colouring neatly inside the lines since 1990.
Her ever expanding collection includes greetings cards, postcards and prints, combining simple, quirky imagery with beautiful typography. Her illustrations employ a mixture of pattern, collage and lettering, mostly using inks, pens and gouache. Her work is inspired by all forms of signage, from billboards and circuses to unintentionally funny hand lettered signs, alongside travel, literature and song lyrics.
Nic's illustrations are suited to all occasions - working by hand, celebrating the small things and having a good sense of humour are all very important elements in her work. She currently lives and works in Leipzig, Germany, but all her products are shipped first class from the UK by a professional mailout company in London.
