Madeleine is a multidisciplinary artist specialising in illustration and textile art. She is based on a Cornish farm - living in a small, self renovated home on wheels - having initially moved down from London to study illustration at Falmouth University. Surrounded by rich landscapes and raw dramatic coastlines, Madeleine is well placed to explore her love of colour, texture and shape.

Madeleines work combines the subtly disparate fields of folk art and post modernism. She balances this contrast by mixing traditional techniques - such as embroidery - and contemporary styles. The result is art that feels playful yet classic. She uses a range of media including lino and screen printing, gouache painting, embroidery and appliqué. All works are created and manufactured in Cornwall, using sustainable production methods.
