The Little Imagineers Story

As the makers of the UK's award winning play sofa, we believe children learn and grow through play and make toys and furniture which bring joy to your home.

Little Imagineers was founded by Tom and Helen Harper, and their sofa climbing children Charlie and Harry.

In an attempt to keep their boys entertained through lockdown in the absence of clubs, school and nursery they tried to create something non-age specific to inspire their imaginations and spark joy within the confines of the home.

The journey began by observing what children instinctively do, and with inspiration from products available elsewhere in the world, have created a premium quality play sofa and play chair for children and toddlers which make beautiful additions to your home.

What started out as a one-family agenda quickly rolled into a plan to build a business around products which invite playful, creative, open-ended fun without detracting from the style and energy of the home.

It's been a crashmat, an extra in 'the-floor-is-lava', tents, dens, a movie theatre seat and currently it's set up as mountains and islands for hot wheels track. It's been many more things too.   • "My son makes various constructions and obstacles courses and also enjoys relaxing on it. Even my 13 years old daughter spends time on it to read and relax. I was wondering how my 9 and 13 years old would use it. I took it as we needed extra beds for when we have guests + my youngest was constantly climbing on our sofa. I've been happily surprised to see the play sofa in use most days. We have a grey one and it blends so well. A great investment. I wish it was there when my children were young!"
