Modern embroidery that's good for the heart
Freckle & Knot was born from Beth's desire to create something that was meaningful.
We all have a story to tell, sprinkled with triumphs and trials, experiences that shape and stay with us as constant as freckles on a face. The heart of Freckle & Knot is to celebrate these stories of perfect imperfections by creating sustainable embroidery kits and made to order home ware using reclaimed wood and as many recycled materials as possible.
Reclaimed wood tells a story: the imperfections of knots, stains, nails and holes speak of a past life. Each Freckle & Knot piece of wood has been carefully chosen and refinished by Beth to create a beautifully unique new piece of art. A new chapter. These pieces are an encouraging reminder for us all that we don't have to be perfect: there is beauty in imperfection.
Beth would love to see your kits hanging with pride in your home, please share them using #freckleandknot
From unloved to lovely
Beth, the freckled face behind Freckle & Knot, loves to escape busy family life to a local nature reserve. Her favourite place for inspiration is a wild meadow with dancing grasses and delicate flowers.
Wood is carefully selected from a local reclamation yard and sanded by hand to a high standard at the Freckle & Knot home workshop. Delicate embroidery designs adorn the reclaimed wood, enhancing its natural beauty and creating a new chapter.
Every piece comes ready to be hung on a wall as part of a wall gallery or settled on a shelf to bring joy.
Where possible, packaging of each product can either be reused or recycled. The use of plastic is reducing, but any plastic that is used has already been recycled.
