A hand printed linocut inspired by New Orleans.
I'm sure you've heard of that famous Southern hospitality and New Orleans is a big advocate of that, that's for sure!
When you're out and about in the city having a delicious meal or a nice cool frozen drink somewhere you might come across the concept of Lagniappe. It's that little something extra that you weren't expecting. An extra doughnut in your box, a few extra nibbles with your meal or indeed a few extra cherries with your hurricane.
It was produced as part of a set of six prints for a New Orleans themed exbibition in 2012 so do check out the whole set.
