The Make Awards 2012 - celebrating creative enterprise

Partners and Products for the Make Awards 2012

Discover the Make Awards

Last year, we decided that we wanted to make a fuss of the creativity, originality and good old fashioned hard work of our Partners; the people who sell their products through our site. So we held the first notonthehighstreet.com Make Awards and gave out lots of nice prizes.

It was a great success and this year, the Make Awards will be even better. We now work with over 3,000 home-grown small creative businesses, showcasing their products to a wider audience than they could otherwise reach themselves. Whether they are designer-makers working with high-quality materials or independent retailers sourcing the next big trends, we choose only the very best to work with; those we know will delight and inspire our customers.

By showing you the stories behind the products and shining a light on the excellence of our Partners in the Make Awards, we can publicly celebrate those who represent the best in British creativity, originality and entrepreneurial thinking.

How It Works

It’s very simple. 2,500 of our Partners have already been invited to submit their businesses and products for nine awards, with a further two nominated by the team here at notonthehighstreet.com. Some of the awards are about business, entrepreneurship and growth and some are about product design and innovation.

Our panel of expert judges – including our very own Holly Tucker and Sophie Cornish – will apply their insight, experience and wisdom to choose the winners of eight of the awards. Another is chosen by Partners’ votes and the remaining two are decided by you – click here for more information on how you can vote.

The winners of all the awards will be announced during a Partner event in June and we’ll publish the results, here and in a special email, very soon afterwards.
